‘The White Tailed Sea Eagle’ is an original artwork created using soft pastels and pastel pencils on thick Pastelmat board. This work is professionally framed as shown with a 10cm mount board and slim matt black frame.

White tailed sea eagles became extinct in the UK in the 19th century due to over hunting by landowners. The breed was reintroduced successfully in 1985 on the Isle of Mull. Since then the Hebrides has hosted a gradually increasing population. There have since been more efforts to reintroduce the eagle on the East coast of Scotland and although there have been successes it is still on a bird by bird basis.
